C.D.S Security and Fire

CDS Security was founded in 1986 and is based in Durham City. Geographically, CDS Security covers the North East of England, including County Durham, Cleveland, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and North Yorkshire. In addition to which we are an independent, Associate member of the Aquilla Security Group, through which we are able to provide National coverage for security systems.

Since inception, company policy has been to provide customers with expert advice, professional installations and a consistent after-sales/Maintenance service. This policy has gained CDS a very loyal and satisfied customer base. (Over 75% of our work is initiated following referrals from existing clients/customers.)

We are very fortunate to have a committed workforce (virtually nil turnover) who take great pride in their work and our company. 95% of our employees have been with us from leaving school/college. Technicians now undertake an extensive college based 3 year advanced modern apprenticeship, including NVQ’s and City Guilds qualifications covering our full range of disciplines.

		National Security Inspectorate (NSI) GOLD Accreditation CDS Security was admitted to the roll of the National Approval Council for Security Systems (NACOSS) in march 1989, and have been awarded the NACOSS GOLD medal of approval for quality service delivery covering intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV and Access Systems.
		British Approval for Fire Equipment (BAFE) SP203 CDS Security was awarded BAFE SP203 (British Approvals for Fire Equipment modular scheme for fire alarm systems) in April 2007 by the NSI. This prestigious accreditation was awarded for all five modules; Design, Installation, Commissioning, Verification and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems.
		Construction Line Construction Line accredited was achieved in 2005
		CHAS Accredited C.D.S Security Ltd are licensed and accredited under the Construction Health & Safety Scheme
		Quality Control C.D.S Security have a stringent Quality Control policy to ensure that our Systems are tested prior to installation, on installation and are further covered by a 12 month warranty on parts and labour.
		Quality Assurance Quality Assurance accredited was achieved in 1990 to BS5750 (Quality Assurance), ISO 9002 in September 19993 and ISO 9001:2000 in June 2003.
