Call systems range from a simple pull cord System to an advanced ‘addressable’ system monitoring the opening of doors, the movement of staff, patients and clients, and the protection of employees from risk of violence.

Various Systems are available and should be designed to meet the requirements of staff and the employer.

Nurse Call and Lone Worker Systems may include Pagers or Infra Red Transmitters signalling to a Display Unit, which can indicate the exact location where the incident has taken place, and therefore ensure that assistance can be summoned immediately.

All Nursing Homes require a Nurse Call System. Local Authorities may require either a “Standard System” or an “Emergency System”. A Standard system allows a resident to call staff for assistance whereas the emergency system also allows for a second, more urgent level of call from nurse to nurse. Within nursing homes, although the standard system is often satisfactory, some health authorities insist on an emergency facility.

CDS Security can liase on your behalf with the Local Authority to ensure their current requirements are met prior to installation.
