Former University offices dating back to the 19th century were transformed into Hotel Indigo Durham, an upscale hotel located in Old Elvet, Durham City. Much like any hotel, fire and security measures are a top priority to Hotel Indigo hotel because they ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
These measures and systems can help to detect and prevent the spread of a fire, help to detect and prevent potential security threats such as theft or unauthorised entry and much more.
What they needed?
When Hotel Indigo approached us, they had a variety of maintenance needs that required attention. The hotel required maintenance for their fire detection system, room door access system, fire dampers, fire extinguishers, kitchen ansul system, and disabled refuge systems. These systems are crucial for the safety and security of the hotel and its guests, and the Hotel Indigo team were confident in us providing comprehensive maintenance services to ensure they were functioning properly.
The fire system in the hotel was quite complex, as it consisted of a combination of hard-wired and wireless equipment in an old building. This added to the challenge of providing efficient and effective maintenance services, so Hotel Indigo required an industry expert that would be able to tackle such a challenge successfully. We were ready to take on the task and meet the needs of Hotel Indigo.
How we helped:
We successfully took over the maintenance of Hotel Indigo’s Fire Detection System, Room Door Access system, Fire Dampers, Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Ansul system and Disabled Refuge systems. The fire system in place combined both hard-wired and wireless equipment in an old building that was formerly part of Durham University before being converted into a hotel.
Our team was able to seamlessly integrate the various systems and ensure they were all functioning efficiently and effectively. We also conducted thorough inspections and regular maintenance to ensure the safety of the hotel and its guests.
