Ridgeway Academy

Tyne Coast Academy Trust oversees a range of schools in the North East. Ridgeway Academy is a mainstream primary school within the trust and is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for its students. Recognising the need to upgrade security systems at the school, the trust enlisted CDS Security & Fire.

What they needed?

Ridgeway Academy needed to replace its existing fire alarm system which did not conform to current safety standards. With pupil safety as the highest priority, Tyne Coast Academy Trust sought a new Category L2 fire alarm system that adhered to BS5839 standards. The project needed to be completed within the six-week summer holiday period to ensure the system was fully operational before students returned for the new school term.
